Robbie's voice guide

Draft, built Oct 27 from 143 of his own sources (66 spoken, 77 written), not yet reviewed by Josh. Open: "we" vs "I", "as you age" in his own reels, and whether his Oct 27 written tips were partly ChatGPT.

The 10 rules that matter most for these pages

  1. Robbie speaks as "I" to "you", never "we" for himself (open question: he says "we" while doing a move in his reels).
  2. Full, plain sentences, the felt change first, the details ("5 minutes, no equipment") quietly after.
  3. "Older adults", never "seniors" or "as we age"; talk about jars, buttons, phones and pens, not age.
  4. "My patients", never "clients".
  5. The program is a "progression", not "a group of exercises" (Robbie, Oct 17).
  6. Never "do not do this" for a hand position: it is the "more challenging" way, then "try this instead" (Robbie, Oct 18).
  7. "One time payment", never "one payment".
  8. To customers the gift is a "sneak peek" or "preview"; "freebie" is only his word with the team (Robbie, Oct 19). Josh named the page "free thumb relief" (Oct 27).
  9. No em dashes, no "x is real", no invented stats, no fake urgency. The 24-hour price on the 21 Day page is Robbie's own idea (Oct 27) and is shown as a choice, not decided.
  10. Never show how people are sorted: no "upgrade", "waitlist price", segment or tag words in addresses or page words (Josh, Oct 27).

Snapshot

Spoken vs written: where they differ

Sales page, emails, ManyChat follow the WRITTEN rules. VSL, reel and video scripts follow the SPOKEN ones.

Little written material: 77 written sources, and all but one are WhatsApp texts to Josh and Ryan (team chat). The one exception is S142 (Oct 27): six written tips for the thumb waitlist sneak peek, his first customer-facing writing in the corpus. No emails, sales copy, DMs to followers or bio text written by him. Reel captions sit inside the reel sources and may not be his own typing, so they are not used as written proof.

| | Spoken (reels, videos, calls, voice notes) | Written (captions, texts, emails, bio, posts) |
|---|---|---|
| Sentence length | Reels: short step by step lines ("You're going to..."), numbered points. Voice notes and calls: very long, one idea rolling into the next | Texts: mostly one short line or a fragment. Longer only when floating an idea, and then it ends in a question. Customer tips (S142, once): numbered task title, a two-part command line, then one or two full sentences of why |
| Address ("you", "guys", ...) | Viewers: "you", sometimes "you guys". Team: "y'all", "you guys", "man", "the boys" | Team: "yall" / "Y'all", "man", "sir", "gents", "you guys". Customer tips: "your", plus "our thumbs" once |
| Swearing / slang | No swearing in reels. Mildest only in voice notes and calls ("crap", "pissed off", once each). "Shoot", "sweet", "bro" | Team texts: no swearing. "lol", "haha", "bro", "gonna", "probs", "tho", "gotchu". Customer tips: no slang at all, more clinical words ("load distribution", "external stability") |
| Emojis, caps, punctuation | Not applicable (spoken). Captions attached to reels use one emoji at most, at the end | Team texts: emojis often, alone or doubled/tripled (🙌 👌 💪 🫡 👍 🤝). Many "!". CAPS on one key word. Fast typos left in. Customer tips: no emojis, no "!", clean spelling |
| Energy | Reels: calm, warm, steady, gentle. Voice notes: excited, grateful, big belief | Team texts: upbeat, quick, thankful. Customer tips: calm and precise |
| Asking for changes | Voice notes: long, hedged ("I don't know if..."), checks how much work it is | Texts: says what he likes, then the fix as a short "Can we...?" question |

Tone by channel (what to follow where)

| Channel | Follow | Notes from the rules above |
|---|---|---|
| Sales page | written | "I" to "you". Progression, "the right movements in the right order", not "exercises". Real tasks (jars, mugs, pots), "older adults" never "seniors". No equipment. "One time payment". Natural, inviting, not salesy. Do NOT copy his text-message typos, "lol" or emoji habit: his texts are team chat |
| Emails | written | Same as the sales page. Plain, warm, short. Numerals. "Sneak peek" not "freebie". End with a "let me know" style ask. For thumb tips, follow his S142 shape: task title, two-part command line, one or two sentences on pressure and the "instead" fix. Thumb Revival: he plans a follow along video per routine next to the pictures, so offer both ways. Not enough clear data on how he writes to customers by email |
| ManyChat / DMs | written | Short lines, warm, "!" is fine in a short welcome. A small gift is a "sneak peek". Not enough clear data on how he DMs followers himself |
| VSL, reels, video scripts | spoken | Hook: "If you do X, then you just...", a patient story, a warning ("Do not neglect your hands as you age, okay?") or a test. Short "You're going to..." steps, "Okay." beats, homemade move names. Close: "let me know how it feels", save it for TV time, comment-a-word "for free", "I hope that helps" |
